Im using a skar audio 800.1 and I'm running 600 at 2 ohms and the square root is 34.4 but my amps voltage on the gain only goes up to 27 so idk what I should set it at.

all i know is i love mtx for its crisp sounds. I have three tne12s on 2400 watts. Over max and they havent blown im surprised. They are reaching 138 db. Thanks mtx for igniting the love i have for bass.

I managed to get a smoking deal on some MTX stuff by a local store that was closing up. I bought two 5510-22(10" dvc 2 ohm), two 5512-44(12"dvc 4 ohm) and a 10" and 12" square sub. Paid $300 for the 4 round subs and $250 for the 2 square subs and he gave me free MTX enclosures for the square subs. Ive always liked MTX and one of my cars currently has an all MTX build besides the headunit. Everyone who hears the car is impressed and when they find out its all MTX and how little I have invested, theyre blown away. Cant wait to see what they are going to drop in 2024/2025. Theres a bunch of new stuff coming.

Does this work with a 1 ohm sub

I love how he connects the fuse to the battery, but leaves the cap off the other side and just lays it in the engine bay to go run the rest of the wire :D if that metal part touches anything its gunna start sparking :P

Why do you use the RMS power of the amplifier instead of the RMS power of the speakers? If you have speakers that handle less RMS power than your amp then you would be supplying more power to the speakers they are able to handle. I believe you should use the power of the subs instead.

Long shot for this but, I just installed the subwoofer and I see that I get power but no sound. I flipped the rca but that didn’t help. I have the REM on the driver side next to the 12v red cable and on the other side I have the rca with the ebc. Can it be because of the ground wire not making a good connection to bare steel. Help!!!! Lol

You should have explained how to wire it to a factory radio without rca connections because I'm still confused..

you know that one bolt for the seat, goes to the chassis right?? You could of just installed it there.

Just wanna make sure I’m doing this right I have 2 subwoofers 300 watts each side so total 600 watts and I’m doing 2 ohms so would I do 300 x 2 or 600 x 2

okay, i have been searching information from everywhere and cant find it. on my pioneer (MVH-S320BT) has weird problem, i tried to measure that "pre out" voltage from the rca cabels and on the stereo own terminal and i get only 0.020V and i have tried other multimeters so the problem is not on tools. im sure everything is right on wiring and everything "should" be unbroken. im sure i have done everything right on measuring but sill doesnt get that 0.2V reading. i hope someone can give some answer for that. and my other problem in my amp (sd1600.1d evo4 2ohm) il have measured the out put voltage from that and i get only about 14V (AC) out, thats when the volume from stereo is 3/4 and gain is almost max but when i put some bass boost i get the max voltage out, what is promised on the amp manual. so far im thinking is that stereo low out put voltage causing low out put voltage to my amp aswell? thanks for help already!

If you're setting up a legit system with serious RMS wattage and Unless you have a good quality O scope. Bite the bullet and buy a SMD DD1 meter. Yes it is expensive, but I have $1500 invested in subs and amps. Not worth the risk of frying them.

My amp has both a gain control and master level. When doing this where should the master be set? If it's all the way down there's no output at all no matter where the gain is set. Should it be all the way up and set the gain based around that level? Or find some balance between the two? The amp is a Jensen xda91rb. Also worth mentioning that there's no controls on the amp. Everything's controlled through an app via Bluetooth

Why does the box say the ratings are all Dynamic power?.In the owners manual and on the box, all ratings are Dynamic? Thats pretty shady.

Would that be the same process for a 2020 RZR XP 1,000 that is not the turbo s model and also the turbo s in it has the Ride command but when you remove the drive seat I didn't see any door speakers which would come from the factory with door speakers.

How’s the sound quality with the sub facing the front ??

If the box is ported you need to to the correct tuning for this to be accurate

This helps a lot. My amp worked wonderful with my Kenwood single voice coil 12 but when I swapped the sub to my Kicker 12 which has dual voice coils the amp cut out at about 15% volume. So now I will go out in the morning and test the ohms and make adjust the wiring as I believe it’s definitely the issue. Thank you for the video!

Can this subwoofers work in a 4 seater?

OK that's 3 to 4years ago all my amplifiers have clip indicators on them haven't blown a subwoofer or speak since I used it?

Have a amp 4ohm x 100 watts = 400 sq root = 20v. I have set my multimeter to Ac voltage, no speaker wires in amp, stick the probes from mm into postive and negative speaker holes, and play pink noise track at 75% volume, turn up the gain slowly, im only getting a little over 2v, nowhere near 20v, what am i doing wrong ?
